I’m writing to you today with great emotion, because having grown up as a patient at your CHU mother-child center, I’ve lived the experience of being cared for by your exceptional team. Today, it’s my son, Nolan, who has benefited from your care since his birth.
My beautiful Nolan was born with a rare vascular anomaly that gave us a great deal of trouble. At just over a year old, we’re already into his second operation, which has caused him many symptoms and worries.
I would like to express my deepest gratitude to Dr Frédérick Jaques, the cardiac surgeon, who works true miracles. He takes the time to reassure parents and provide attentive care to our children. Many thanks also to the entire cardiology team: Dr. Houde, Dr. Desjardins, Dr. Chetaille and Dr. Côté, who have all cared for and supported Nolan throughout his journey.
I am deeply grateful to your wonderful team for the constant support they offer families, listening and being a real presence during these difficult times.
