Mission

“Provide meaningful support to children with heart disease and their families.”

Did you know that in Quebec, 1 in 100 children is born with a heart disease or defect that will require medical care?

This represents 900 new families who must deal with this diagnosis each year.

The En Cœur Foundation has therefore given itself the mission of helping children with congenital heart disease and their families by offering them information and support services. En Cœur also aims to raise public awareness about the importance of supporting children with heart disease and their parents.

As part of its mission, the En Cœur Foundation organizes several events and makes available various publications (books and brochures) aimed at facilitating families’ access to relevant and reassuring sources of information.

VISION

We want to offer as many services as possible to children with heart disease and their families. The Foundation also aims to extend its support to young people during the transition from pediatric to adult care.

Our services complement those provided by the health care system by meeting certain needs. Our offer includes:

  • Support during hospitalizations;

  • Support through the mobile pediatric cardiology clinic;

  • Information and home care equipment;

  • Psychological support;

  • And much more…
