Over the years, En Cœur has participated in the creation of many documents intended for children with heart disease and their families. These are available at the Foundation and cardiology departments of the hospitals.
Young at Heart: Understanding Childhood Heart Diseases
Written by experienced pediatric cardiologists, this book was created to help and inform families and those who support them. By explaining in concrete terms everything you need to know about heart defects and the ways to treat them, this book is full of hope.
Colouring book
This colouring book was created to allow children undergoing surgery to have fun while learning. The main objective of this book is to help children, as well as their parents, get through the long waiting periods.
My child and their heart surgery
Very recently, the CHUQ, in collaboration with En Cœur, developed an informative guide for parents and children in preparation for heart surgery: Mon enfant et sa chirurgie cardiaque (available in French only).
Cardiac Catheterization
En Coeur and the Montreal Children’s Hospital have jointly published an information sheet about cardiac catheterization.
Functional heart murmur
The CHUS, in collaboration with En Cœur, has created the following information document to explain what a functional heart murmur is (available in French only).
Discharge instructions for a child after heart surgery
The cardiology team at the Montreal Children’s Hospital, in collaboration with En Cœur, has developed the guide “Instructions pour le congé d’un enfant après une chirurgie cardiaque,” which contains valuable information for parents (available in French only).
L’Écho du Coeur
En Cœur publishes L’Écho du cœur every year, a document that reports the Foundation’s recent achievements (available in French only).
